About Enerco Group Inc.
Enerco Group Inc. is a privately held heating equipment manufacturer headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1973 when Robert N. Jones acquired the infrared division from Van Dorn Ironworks, the company has grown into one of America's largest portable heater manufacturers. Enerco operates under several brands including Mr. Heater, HeatStar, Cleveland Iron Works, and BaseCamp, serving consumer, commercial, and industrial heating markets.
While Enerco is best known for its Mr. Heater portable propane heaters, the company also manufactures EPA-certified pellet stoves and wood stoves under the Mr. Heater and Cleveland Iron Works brands. These biomass stoves are the products relevant to the 25C tax credit. Models include Wi-Fi-enabled pellet stoves and traditional wood-burning stoves designed for residential supplemental or primary heating.
Qualifying Enerco pellet stoves and wood stoves are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit under the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (25C), capped at $2,000 annually. The stove must achieve a minimum thermal efficiency of 75% per the higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel. Note that Enerco's portable propane and kerosene heaters do not qualify for 25C credits.
UniColorado Heating & Cooling installs heat pumps as primary heating systems for Denver homes, providing efficient climate control that runs automatically without manual fuel loading.
