About Masonite
Masonite International is a manufacturer of interior and exterior doors serving the residential and commercial construction markets. Founded in 1925 by William H. Mason in Laurel, Mississippi, the company pioneered the process of turning wood fiber into hardboard using heat, steam, and pressure. Masonite entered the door business in 1972 and is now headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
Masonite produces a range of door systems including fiberglass, steel, and wood composite entry doors. The company manufactures products for both new construction and the repair, renovation, and remodeling sectors. In May 2024, Masonite was acquired by Owens Corning.
Qualifying energy-efficient Masonite exterior doors can provide federal tax credits under Section 25C. The credit covers 30% of product and installation costs, with a maximum of $250 per door and $500 annually for all exterior doors combined.
UniColorado Heating & Cooling helps Denver homeowners eliminate gas bills with cold-climate heat pumps, qualifying for up to $2,000 in federal 25C tax credits plus Xcel Energy rebates.
