About Travis Industries
Travis Industries is the largest privately-owned wood, pellet, and gas stove, insert, and fireplace manufacturer in America. Founded in 1979 by Kurt Rumens and headquartered in Mukilteo, Washington, the company manufactures all of its products domestically at their House of Fire facility—an 11-acre manufacturing complex north of Seattle.
Travis Industries produces a diverse range of biomass heating products including wood stoves, pellet stoves, gas stoves, fireplace inserts, and complete fireplace systems under the Lopi, Fireplace Xtrordinair, and Avalon brands. All products are manufactured in-house by a skilled workforce of approximately 600 employees.
Qualifying biomass stoves from Travis Industries can provide significant federal tax credits under Section 25C. The 30% tax credit—capped at $2,000 annually—covers the full purchase and installation costs for eligible wood and pellet stoves with thermal efficiency ratings of at least 75%, making upgraded heating solutions more affordable for homeowners.
UniColorado Heating & Cooling installs cold-climate heat pumps as primary heating systems for Denver homes, providing automatic, efficient comfort without combustion or fuel storage.
