Rebate.Blue is run by DotBlue LLC. This page covers the public site: the QMID lookup, the heat pump insights and the guides. None of them needs an account.

Analytics

Pages load three analytics tools. They record the pages you view, where you came from, your browser and device type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and what you do on the page, including the text you type into the QMID and model searches.

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC). Sets _ga cookies.
  • Umami, run on our own server (um.paradixe.dev). No cookies.
  • PostHog, run on our own server (ph.paradixe.dev). Stores an anonymous ID in a cookie and local storage, and can record sessions (clicks, scrolling and page changes) with everything typed into form fields masked.

None of these run on the private admin pages.

Error reports

When a page throws an error, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) receives the error, the page address and browser details. For about one in ten errors it also receives a replay of the moments before it, with all text masked and images and media blocked.

The QMID submission form

If you submit a QMID, we keep what you enter: your name, the manufacturer, the code, and, if you give them, your email, company, a source link and notes. We use it to review the submission and, if you left an email, to reply. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person.

Cookies and local storage set by the site

  • rb_insights_view: whether you chose the simple or advanced insights view.
  • Whether you accepted the disclaimer on the white-label lookup.
  • rb_site_session: set only if you sign in to the private rebate platform with an access code.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse. Our servers keep request logs, including IP addresses, for troubleshooting.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information and don't show ads.

Email [email protected]. To have a submission deleted, include the email address or name you used.
