New heat pump models
Since 2025, new heat pumps are made with R-454B or R-32 refrigerant instead of R-410A, which is being phased down. Here is that switch, and the newest certified models of the size class you pick.
Covers older R-410A heat pumps, no longer installed new. See models sold today · Updated

What the switch means
R-454B and R-32 warm the planet far less than R-410A if they leak. Heat pumps already installed with R-410A can still be serviced; the phase-down limits how much new R-410A is made. The two kinds use different parts, so they are listed separately here.
