CEE’s cold-climate tier: full rated capacity and a COP of at least 2.1 at 5°F. 2.6% of certified models (322, about 1 in 40) meet it.

What it asks for

Advanced

  • Efficiency on a 5°F day (COP at 5°F): 2.1 or more
  • Heating power kept at 5°F (Capacity at 5°F vs 47°F): 100% or more of its 47°F output
  • Winter-long heating efficiency (HSPF2): 8.5 or more
