About Hearthstone
HearthStone is a premium wood stove manufacturer headquartered in Morrisville, Vermont since 1978. Owned by Spanish foundry Industrias Hergom S.A. since 1989, HearthStone is best known for its soapstone-clad wood stoves built in a 61,000 sq ft Vermont facility. The company's signature material is 1.25-inch-thick soapstone, which absorbs heat during burning and radiates it for hours after the fire dies. Every stove is signed by its individual builder, a quality accountability tradition maintained for decades.
HearthStone's product lineup includes soapstone wood stoves (Lincoln, Mansfield, Castleton, Heritage), Traditions series cast iron stoves (Manchester, Shelburne, Craftsbury), Green Mountain high-efficiency models (GM20 through GM80, up to 81% HHV), HASE European-design steel stoves (Bari), and the Clydesdale wood fireplace insert. The company's proprietary TruHybrid combustion system combines primary, secondary, and catalytic tertiary combustion stages, exceeding 2020 EPA standards. Five HearthStone models rank in the EPA's top 15 HHV-rated wood stoves. Cast iron is produced by Hergom in Santander, Spain and assembled in Vermont.
All HearthStone TruHybrid wood stoves meet the 75% HHV minimum efficiency required for the federal Section 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit. The credit covers 30% of purchase and installation costs, capped at $2,000 annually. HearthStone's Green Mountain 80 achieves 81% HHV, making it among the most efficient wood stoves available. Gas stove models (Classic, DX series) are not eligible under the biomass 25C category.
UniColorado Heating & Cooling installs heat pumps as primary heating systems for Denver homes, providing automatic, efficient comfort without combustion or fuel storage.
